Let's Pray with You
"...The earnest prayer of the righteous avails much.." - James 5:16

The greatest obstacle that one must overcome in walking with God is that of unbelief for he that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is able to provide an answer for those that seek His help (Hebrews 11:6)
Persistent Prayers
Prayer is having conversation with God, talking to Him about your needs or about somebody else's needs. It is also thanking Him, praising Him and worshipping Him. 'Prayerlessness is sinfulness' because God requires us to always seek His face (2 Chronicles 7:14) and when we do not, it means something else is occupying our time and God - as a jealous God - commands us that we place Him as the single priority (Exodus 20:4-5). Besides, when we don't pray nothing happens.

God has three answers to all prayers; He either says Yes, No or Wait!!! The fact that God says No or Wait does not mean that He has annulled our son-ship. It just means that He has greater plans for us but we are not yet smart enough to ask for it. We also need to learn to trust God (Hebrews 11:6) and pray with the right motives (Matthew 6:5-8). One of the most frustrating things in life is trying to make things happen that only God can make happen. We tend to forget that the sweetest thing is being at ease with ourselves knowing that God is always at work in and for us. Prayer is the key that opens the door for God to work! Therefore a lack of prayer prevents God from working in our lives. Yes God knows what we need before we ask but He demands that we ask (Matthew 7:8) but with Confidence knowing that nothing is impossible with God (Matthew 19:26). Often times we loose hope because we do not immediately receive from God but we must remain persistent. God rewards those that are persistent (Hebrews 11:6). We must remain steadfast in our prayers until we learn of God to receive of Him.

In the creation story we learn something very profound; God was about to make His master piece - the ultimate goal of His creation work. He needed agreement with the God-Head; He said "Let us make man in our image" (Genesis 1:26) which teaches us the importance of agreement in prayers. We must therefore be in agreement for God's work to be wrought in our lives. We must be in agreement with God's word to receive of God. What is God's will concerning your current situation? What has He promised to do in His word? We must align our desires and request with the promises of God and present our 'case' before God who is unable to lie or repent of His words (Numbers 23:19) and surely, He will answer.

You may not get it the first time but persistence and steadfastness are sure ingredients of a prayerful life. There are no limits to what we can ask of Him - they just need to be in agreement with His word. We can get all that Jesus can get from God because we have the power of Attorney in Jesus who is constantly interceding on our behalf! (Romans 8:34)

You know what is even better? God is crying out to us waiting for us to pray to Him! (Isaiah 65:1-2)
